We are thrilled to welcome the UK to the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC).
EuroHPC, a collaboration involving 35 countries, including all 27 EU member states, brings together top-class supercomputing resources to drive research in the next generation of computing technologies.
Through this partnership, UK is able to support the development of HPC and quantum computing in Europe and gets access to a range of super computers. In addition, the can benefit from EuroHPC as part of the Horizon Europe-funded programs worth over £770 million through 2027.
Researchers from all member countries have access to a range of supercomputers, including:
- Deucalion in Guimarães, Portugal
- MareNostrum 5 in Barcelona, Spain
- LUMI in Kajaani, Finland
- Leonardo in Bologna, Italy
- MeluXina in Bissen, Luxembourg
- Karolina in Ostrava, Czech Republic
- Discoverer in Sofia, Bulgaria
- Vega in Maribor, Slovenia
- JUPITER, the first European exascale supercomputer in Germany.
