Quantum technologies are currently undergoing standardization activities worldwide, but there is still much work to be done. The CEN-CENELEC Focus Group on Quantum Technologies identified standardization needs and opportunities for the entire field of QT with the goal of boosting the establishment of new industries in Europe. The standardization roadmap is structured around basic enabling technologies as well as components and subsystems, systems, composite systems, and use cases for quantum computing, quantum communication and quantum sensing, imaging and metrology. The roadmap presents an outlook and conclusions, including a prioritization of identified standardization needs.
