Just above the rooftops of Munich, QBN brought together decision makers from QBN members, politics and the global quantum economy at the already legendary QBN VIP Networking Reception – that is where real business is done, that is QBN’s 5th birthday celebration.
During delicious BBQ, cool drinks, 30°C and a beautiful sunset our VIPs enjoyed a great informal atmosphere and meaningful conversations. The reception’s main purpose was to bring CEOs, decision makers and bright minds together to strengthen ties and mark a special occasion: QBN’s fifth anniversary, by celebrating the impactful achievements and growth of our community over the past five years.
From its inception, QBN has grown into the global industry network for quantum technologies with a strong and active member base representing all parts of the quantum value chain. It has become the voice of the European and global quantum industry, shaping national, European and international policy, from Berlin to Brussels and beyond.
In that time, the network has arranged several hundred million euros in public and private investments, fostered fruitful collaborations, successfully promoted technology transfer and innovation in ways that have contributed to the European sovereignty and long-term economic growth. The creation of the Quantum Incubator for End-User Enterprises and the expansion of QBN’s support structures into the APAC region reflect the network’s continued commitment to drive the quantum transformation of the economy while meeting the needs of its members and partners worldwide.
The event was opened with welcoming words from QBN’s CEO, Johannes Verst, and Marius Almstedt, Director Strategy & Growth at QAI Ventures, who supported the evening as Gold Sponsor, alongside valued QBN members Akhetonics and Quantum Art as Silver Sponsors. Their support helped create the kind of atmosphere that allows for genuine interaction—where ideas are exchanged freely and future collaborations can begin to take shape.
During the exclusive evening, guests had the opportunity to connect with three members of the newly established QBN Advisory Board, who joined the reception shortly after the Board’s formation. The new board represents big ambitions and the ability to execute. More to come.
Looking ahead, the evening served as a reminder of what has brought QBN to this point: trust, openness, and a shared vision and commitment in building quantum technologies for the good of humanity. As we enter our next chapter, we remain focused on deepening those values.
QBN thanks all who attended for their dedication and passion, and for continuing to help shape a strong, connected and forward-looking quantum economy.
