This marks the first successful attempt to solve a partial differential equation (PDE) on a real quantum computer using a Variational Quantum Algorithm.
ColibriTD aims to make quantum computing accessible through its platform, QUICK, targeting users of classical simulation software.
H-DES is designed to solve PDEs for fluid dynamics, combustion, mechanics, and climate modeling applications.
The company demonstrated H-DES’s robustness and scalability using IBM’s IBM Quantum Heron processor.
These results are a significant step toward large-scale quantum technology use in multiphysics simulations.
