HiQuTe Diamond was born in 2022 from the convergence of two complementary forces: the world-renowned scientific expertise of the LSPM-CNRS laboratory—pioneering diamond research since the 1990s—and the business-building capabilities of the startup studio Technofounders. The project started in 2021, uniting key LSPM researchers—Riadh Issaoui, Jocelyn Achard, Fabien Bénédic, Ovidiu Brinza, and Alexandre Tallaire—and Technofounders to explore deeptech opportunities around synthetic diamond. A feasibility study in 2022 confirmed both the technological edge and market potential of the venture. This led to the official incorporation of HiQuTe Diamond in December 2022. Initially powered by the scientific core of LSPM and the entrepreneurial support of Technofounders, the company rapidly built its own R&D capabilities, established a scientific advisory board, and began prototyping. Today, HiQuTe Diamond stands as a fully independent company, led by Florent Alzetto (CEO) and Riadh Issaoui (CTO), with a clear strategic vision and a mission to become a European leader in high-quality synthetic diamonds for advanced technologies.
