Member: AQLS GmbH

AQLS is a spin-off from Berlin’s universities, Humboldt University of Berlin and Technical University of Berlin, as well as the German Aerospace Center founded in 2023.

Its goal was to transfer quantum-optical experiments into practical applications for the benefit of society.

The company’s first commercially successful product is a source of entangled photon pairs, which is currently sold primarily to the research market, but is expected to become a fundamental building block of deployed quantum networks in the future. These networks will enable quantum computers to be interconnected, allow secure communication, and enable new forms of sensing technology.

Portfolio

Available:

  • Entangled Photon Pair Sources at custom wavelengths, room-temperature operation, plug&play, with narrow linewidths, compatible to atomic vapor memories
  • High-efficiency Quantum Frequency Converters
  • Custom solutions

Under development:

  • Atomic vapor quantum memories
  • Quantum imaging for MIR applications
  • MIR spectroscopy
