QPerfect is an ambitious DeepTech quantum computing startup, spun-off from the
prestigious European Centre for Quantum Sciences (CESQ) in Strasbourg. Our primary
goal is to develop a Quantum Logic Unit (QLU), a full hardware and software system to
control quantum computers and unlock the power of fault-tolerant quantum
computing. Our first product, MIMIQ, is a high-performance quantum circuit simulation
SaaS platform that serves both the quantum community and as the foundational
software layer for our QLU
We are looking for a versatile DevOps and Systems Engineer to build and manage the
entire technical backbone of our quantum computing startup. You will play a
foundational role in shaping a robust, scalable, and efficient technical environment for
our products and our team

Your Mission
As our DevOps and Systems Engineer, you will be the cornerstone of our technical
operations. You will:

• Design, build, and manage our cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS or
  Azure, supporting everything from our MIMIQ SaaS platform to internal
  workloads.
• Actively contribute to full-stack development of the MIMIQ platform, focusing on
  backend APIs, job management, and frontend interfaces.
• Own system reliability and performance by implementing robust monitoring,
  logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and security.
• Streamline development workflows by building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  and collaborating closely with software and quantum engineers.
• Plan for scalability and cost-efficiency, proactively assessing needs to evolve
  our infrastructure.

Support internal IT systems by administering collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft
365) to ensure smooth operations for the team (this is a supporting, not primary,
responsibility).

Your Profile
Must-Have:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical
  experience.
• Several years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or
  Full-Stack Developer with a strong infrastructure focus.
• Deep expertise in a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure preferred), including
  services for compute, storage, and networking.
• Strong command of scripting languages (Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as
  Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Solid experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI,
  GitHub Actions).
• Experience in backend (API design) and frontend development (e.g.,
  JavaScript/TypeScript with Vue or React).
• Fluency in English.
• Eligibility to work in France.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with HPC environments for scientific workloads.
• Knowledge of the Rust programming language.
• Experience administering IT collaboration tools like Microsoft 365.
• A genuine interest in quantum or scientific computing.
