Orange Quantum Systems (OrangeQS) today welcomed IQM Quantum Computers, the global leader in superconducting quantum computers, into the OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program as its newest participant.
Within the program, IQM’s primary interest lies in the development of chip testing methodologies to extend the capabilities to meet the requirements of the future technology stack. OrangeQS is advancing this technology direction in the MAX Partnership Program’s technology roadmap, aimed at making qubit testing faster, more reliable, and less costly as the industry scales toward volume production. A demonstrator, built on the system provided by IQM, is the next major milestone in the Program.
About joining the program, Juha Hassel, VP Quantum Technologies at IQM states: “At IQM, we’re focused on providing quantum computing infrastructure to enterprises, research institutions, universities, high-performance computing centers, and national laboratories worldwide. Scaling to large quantum computers means that testing infrastructure for quantum chips has to keep pace. Contributing to the MAX Partnership Program lets OrangeQS advance testing methods that will benefit the whole field, and we’re glad to support that work”.

The OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program
The OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program aligns OrangeQS’ development roadmap with key quantum chip manufacturers, aiming to increase testing throughput a hundredfold over the next years. Partners work independently with OrangeQS, each influencing specific parts of the MAX technology and product roadmaps depending on their needs and level of commitment. The program currently focuses on parallel and non-destructive quantum chip testing technology developments.
